News Archives Saturday, May 23 2009 Warriors Derail Express - On To The Championship! The San Antonio Warriors took on the DFW Express on Saturday at Benson Stadium on the University of the Incarnate Word campus. The game remained close until the 2nd quarter when the Warriors pulled away. Special guest appearances included San Antonio's Queen of Soul Ashley Dixon who sang a powerful rendition of the National Anthem and San Antonio's Miss Fiesta Jessica Ramirez who participated in the coin toss ceremony. The championship game will a rematch of the San Antonio Warriors and the West Texas Drillers. It will be held in Dallas, TX this coming Saturday, May 30 (Time and place to be announced soon). The Warriors defeated the North Texas Seminoles last weekend and DFW Express will be in town this weekend to take on your San Antonio Warriors! Come on out and help your Warriors move on the the championship game in Dallas on May 30, 2009. ![]() ![]() The first 150 individuals over the age of 21 through the northwest gate will receive a free ticket to the PBR Bull Riding event at Cowboys Dance Hall on May 31, 2009. The Warriors were held scoreless in the 3rd quarter and the Venom tacked on an additional 6 points to end the 3rd quarter 44-12. The 4th quarter was full of scoring on both ends of the field. The Warriors tallied 12 more point and the Venom added 14. The Venom attempted a rally in the 4th quarter but came up short with a final score of Warriors 56 - Venom 26. This game improves the Warriors 2009 season record to 3-0. The next game will on Saturday, April 4th in Arp, Texas matching the Warriors against the East Texas Storm. The 2nd quarter was when the Warriors turned up the heat on the cold evening scoring 13 points. The Warriors then scored 3 points in the 3rd quarter and 7 more in the 4th.
